McKee International Co., Ltd. is a trading company based in Taipei established just over a year ago.
The company imported nearly 100 containers of Canadian poultry products in its first year debut. In late
2012, McKee was trying to source c
hicken products from the U.S. and approached Post for assistance.
ATO Taipei staff was able to help verify several U.S. suppliers McKee searched on internet and also
provided a list of U.S. poultry products exporters. In addition, Post also briefed the com
pany regarding
meat market trend and the import procedures.
The first eight containers McKee ordered are expected to arrive in Taiwan in early January and another
ten containers will also arrive in port before Chinese New Year holiday starts. McKee esti
mates they
will purchase approximately 50 containers of poultry products from the U.S. in the coming year and
may expand its interest in other commodities in the near future.
