Burma exported 80,369 metric tons (MT) of beans and pulses in November, an increase of 25 percent
from the same period in 2011.
Of this total, 76 percent, (60
,952 MT) was exported to India followed by
Singapore with 14 percent (11,114 MT), and Viet
nam with 2 percent (1,566 MT).

General Information:
Burma’s bean and pulse
exports in November 2012 totaled 80,369 metric tons (MT), up 25 percent from
the same period last year.
Matpe beans (black gram) accounted for 63 percent of the total exports,
followed by Mung beans and Toor Whole with 26 percent and 7 percent respective
ly.
India accounted
for 76 percent of total exports while Singapore accounted for 14 percent.
