India must accelerate exports to Middle East & Africa via trade agreements & industry cooperation

Accelerating India's export growth to the Middle East and Africa (MEA) provides an opportunity to add 1-2 percentage points of GDP growth to our economy. India's exports to MEA went up seven times over the 2004 level to about $60 billion in 2010. Cold delays Alphonso mango's arrival in Mumbai

Alphonso lovers may have to wait longer to savour the king of fruits. The constant fluctuations in the weather may affect the crop and delay the onset of the mango season. ‘Hapoos’ mango growers in the Konkan say adverse weather conditions will lead to the crop coming out in the market only in April. After successful Horti train trial, Punjab may get one

After the successful trial of the first horticulture train, a specially-created temperature-maintained, 1,600-MT capacity train, from Bhusawal in Maharashtra to Azadpur mandi in New Delhi a couple of days ago, the Centre plans to introduce a similar train for Punjab.
