India has fixed a target of producing 84 million tonnes of foodgrain staple wheat during 2011-12, Parliament was informed today. Government allows export of non-basmati rice to 3 African nations

The government has allowed the export of 10,000 tonnes of non-basmati rice to three African nations -- Kenya, Somalia and Djibouti -- through state-run Food Corporation of India (FCI) at economical rates.
