Beijing is handling its border problems with neighbours such as Vietnam and Malaysia in ways that are bound to impact discussions on the India-China border dispute when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrives here on a three-day visit on October 22. n a sharp departure from the past acrimony over their border dispute, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Tuesday called on Chinese and Vietnamese youths to contribute towards the promotion of the two countries' traditional friendship.

Around 170 delegates from Europe and India, including CEOs, marketing practitioners, entrepreneurs and government and EU officials, are expected to participate in a Trade and Investment Partnership Summit (TIPS 2013), in which India is the focus, at the European Parliament on Wednesday. It is being organised by the Brussels-based Europe India Chamber of Commerce (EICC) in collaboration with Eurochambres and Indian Chamber of Commerce.

The Rs 3.6-crore micro, small and medium enterprises, which account for nearly 10 per cent of the country's gross domestic product, could get a substantial boost if the moves by Reserve Bank of India governor Raghuram Rajan to change the way trade credit is treated have their intended effect. Rajan's plans to permit trade in the receivables of small companies that sell goods to big producers such as Tata Motors or Maruti Suzuki may bring relief to small industries as this leads to the cost of working capital falling sharply.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India may soon cut the floor price for exports of wheat from government warehouses by 13 percent, government sources said on Tuesday, which could boost shipments and put downward pressure on benchmark prices in Chicago. The move could come after state-run trading firms in the world's second-biggest wheat producer after China earlier this month received bids lower than the minimum rate for overseas sales, the sources said.
