Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Anand Sharma along with industry leaders Monday expressed their hope that exports to Iran would rise following the interim agreement between the oil-rich nation and major world powers. "This is something which is very much welcome and I am sure that this will bring more trust and stability in the region. And as far as economic engagement with Iran is concerned, it has been there.

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Tuesday offered the central government’s full support for fast growth in all areas of agriculture and food processing in Arunachal Pradesh.He made the offer while laying the foundation stone of the state’s first agriculture college and inaugurated a 'krishi mela' at Pasighat on Tuesday. Pawar appreciated the recent initiatives taken by the State Government towards fast growth of agriculture, rice procurement, new plantations, export of fruits, etc.

India today underlined the need for developing economic corridors for seamless connectivity across Asia to bring people and regional economies closer for mutual benefit. Speaking at the 12th Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Foreign Ministers Meeting in Bahrain capital, Manama, E Ahamed, Minister of State for External Affairs, said, "We want to develop economic corridors across Asia providing hope, opportunity and efficiency to our mutual benefit."

Bangladesh's state grains buyer has issued an international tender to buy 50,000 tonnes of wheat, the latest in a series of tenders as the country looks to replenish reserves, a procurement official said on Monday. The imports are part of a plan by the Directorate General of Food, the state agency, to ship in 850,000 tonnes of wheat in the current financial year, up from around 350,000 tonnes the previous year. The deadline to submit offers under the latest tender is Dec. 5, with validity up to Dec. 15, and the wheat is to be shipped within 40 days of signing the contract, said Mohammad Badrul Hasan, procurement director at the purchasing agency.
