Panama approved and ratified a Trade Promotion Agreement (TPA) with the U.S., which is at present pending for ratification by the U.S. Congress. In addition, the United States – Panama Agreement regarding certain sanitary and phytosanitary measures and technical standards affecting trade in agricultural products, is in force since December 20, 2006. This agreement established simplified requirements for the importation of U.S. food products. Click Here
