The visit of Norwegian PM to India-progress in bilateral cooperation

Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg’s three-day visit to India is scheduled the next week. She will hold talks with her Indian counterpart Mr. Narendra Modi on a series of issues aiming to expand the multi-faceted bilateral partnership between the two.
Arriving on January 7, Solberg during her visit will deliver the inaugural address at the Raisina Dialogue and address India-Norway Business Summit, Ministry of External Affairs said.
She will also see President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj will also call on Solberg during her visit.
The upcoming visit of Norway PM will provide to both the nations to review the progress in bilateral cooperation and multi-faceted partnership in areas of common interest, said MEA.
India and Norway enjoy close and multi-faceted ties. Economic and technical cooperation are important facets of our bilateral relation. More than 100 Norwegian companies have invested in India in areas such as ship-building, petroleum related services, hydropower, clean energy and IT services, it said. 
Many Indian companies also exist in Norway. Both interested in sustainable use of ocean resources for the growth of the two nations’ economies, the statement said.
