Panel set up to hike fruit, vegetable production in UP

![](http://agriexchange.apeda.gov.in/newsletter/images/production_10.jpg) In a bid to boost the food processing sector in Uttar Pradesh, directorate of horticulture, on Thursday, set up a 14-member consultation committee to offer advice on ways to develop fruit and vegetable production in the state. The 14-member panel, which will meet for consultation purposes at least two times in a year, will comprise Prof RB Singh, former director, Indian Council of Agriculture Research, a nominated official representing Agricultural and Processed Foods Products Export Development Authority (APEDA)and a nominated person from the union Ministry of Food Processing Industries. |
