Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that the government is willing to do everything to bring the economy back on the path of high growth. The government and the industry have to be partners in India's growth story, Manmohan Singh told top business leaders at the opening of Confederation of Indian Industry 's annual general meeting here on Wednesday. Prime minister expressed disappointment at the slowing of growth, but said this is not permanent. |

The government today said the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2013-14 would be unveiled by the third week of this month, which is likely to contain many sops for exporters. "It is expected that the Annual Supplement to the Foreign Trade Policy would be announced by the third week of April and address both the immediate and medium-term concerns of exports, besides giving a fillip to exports," a Commerce Ministry statement said. |

India, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are exploring the possibilities for a Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), Commerce and Industry Ministry Tuesday said in a statement. Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma and Eurasian Economic Commission chairperson Viktor Khristenko Tuesday agreed to start negotiations for the agreement during a bilateral meeting in New Delhi. |

Almost a year after the inauguration of India's first integrated check post (ICP) at Attari, the customs department is going to introduce electronic data interchange (EDI) system for transparency and to boost trade. Although the department has not announced any date for launching EDI system, it is believed that it could be implemented on April 13 — exactly a year after the ICP was inaugurated in 2012. |
