The country has consistently raised the issue of market access and removal of bottleneck for its domestic agricultural products with China, Parliament was informed today. India-China bilateral trade stood at $75.5 billion, but the ballooning trade deficit in Beijing's favour, which rose to about $40 billion in 2011-12, has raised concerns among Indian authorities.

There is huge potential for Indian businesses to step up trade with Argentina, according to its Consul General Tomas Ferrari. Speaking at a seminar on ‘Doing Business with Argentina’ here at the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry here on Monday, Ferrari said only one per cent of India’s export goes to his country.

NEW DELHI: A Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and Bangladesh could increase the bilateral trade between the two countries by over 100 per cent, according to a World Bank report. "A bilateral FTA between the two nations would increase Bangladesh's exports to India by 182 per cent and that of India's to Bangladesh by 126 per cent," the World Bank Lead Economist Sanjay Kathuria said while releasing a report titled 'Unlocking Bangladesh-India Trade' at a CII function here.

VISAKHAPATNAM: The next decade belongs to ports and there is ample scope for creation of port facilities and infrastructure on the east coast with an estimated investment of over Rs 1.15 lakh crore to cater to India's increasing trade with East Asian nations, Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) chairman Ajeya Kallam said on Monday.
