The trade between India and CIS countries such as Russia and Ukraine is expected to touch USD 30 billion by 2020, exporters body FIEO said on Wednesday. n 2011-12, trade between India and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) stood at USD 12 billion.he Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) at an interaction with Ambassadors and Senior Diplomats of CIS nations said that huge trade potential exists in CIS region.

India today said Pakistan should further open up avenues for increasing bilateral trade and eventually accord the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to New Delhi. "Whatever perceptions that are coming in the way of moving towards further improvement should be addressed by more information and better understanding of the benefits of normalisation," Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma told a a high level Pakistani business delegation here.

India has signed five agreements with Myanmar to invest in sectors such as agriculture, livestock development, fisheries, mining, construction, engineering and power generation in that country. The expansion of counter-terror cooperation topped the agenda of talks held between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and General Than Shwe, the head of the State Peace and Development Council.

Robust growth and strong momentum from Asean-India trade and economic cooperation is expected to push the GDP growth for the two economies next year. Deputy Minister for International Trade and Industry Datuk Jacob Dungau Sagan said Asean is expected to see a growth of 5.6%, while India will register 7.3% for 2013 on the back of stronger cooperation within the Asean-India Framework of Economic Cooperation (AIFEC) and Asean-India Free Trade Agreement (AIFTA) on goods.
