APEDA’s participation in 57th Summer Fancy Food Show, Washington DC, USA from 10th to 12th July, 2011

The Summer Fancy Food Show is a premier fine food show in the North America. APEDA realizes its significance and, therefore, participated in the “57th Summer Fancy Food Show 2011" held at Walter-E Washington Convention Centre, Washington DC, USA from 10th to 12th July, 2011. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) jointly participated in the “57th Summer Fancy Food Show 2011" held at Walter-E Washington Convention Centre, Washington DC, USA from 10th to 12th July, 2011 and booked an area of 405 sq. mtr. An aesthetically designed and attractive India Pavilion was set up at this space and displayed Indian food products like; ready-to-eat food/curries, honey, spices & herbs, chutneys, pickles, biscuits, cookies, fruit juices & drinks, confectionery & chocolate, cashews, alcoholic beverages and basmati rice.

Her Excellency, Mrs. Meera Shankar, Ambassador, Embassy of India in Washington inaugurated the India Pavilion and commented that the Indian processed foods are finding a growing market in the United States. She also complimented APEDA on the commendable efforts for organizing the event.

Chairman, APEDA led the delegation of the 14 exporters of food products and Secretary, APEDA coordinated the event.
