In 2010, the USDA/FAS collaborated with NAFDAC on a HACCP conference where all sectors in Nigeria?s entire food safety chain participated. The HACCP conference underpinned the subsequent inauguration of Nigeria?s National Food Safety Management Committee (NFSMC) which will take responsibility for food safety systems and operations when fully institutionalized.
