Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) Funded Research Level Laboratories at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).

In the rapid rising of interest in consumer safety and public health, there is a dire need for testing food products to ensure its compliance with safety standards for production, effective by-product utilization, monitoring adulteration as well as for exports. Therefore, food analysis laboratories are required to support the surveillance system of food regulators.
 
Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) has come up with the scheme where Central/ State Government organizations/ Government universities (including Deemed Universities) and all other implementing agencies are made eligible to receive financial assistance for setting up of food testing laboratories. The Department of Food Technology of the Faculty of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Faculty of Engineering & Technology (JU-FET) is one of those privileged institutions to receive the funding.
