Exports may cross $825 billion this fiscal, says Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.

Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal Wednesday said that India’s exports of goods and services are likely to cross $825 billion despite global challenges and that his ministry is meeting shipping industry on Thursday to discuss container shortages, skyrocketing freight rates and ways to reduce the impact of the Red Sea crisis.

As onion exports resume, stranded trucks begin to leave ports & cross borders.

Onion exports have resumed after four days, following Central govt's update of its order in the customs department system.
Over 400 onion-laden trucks from Nashik were stuck at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust in Mumbai and the Indo-Bangladesh border, as well as other ports, since Saturday. The obstacle occurred as the Centre had not updated its Sept 13 order about the removal of Minimum Export Price (MEP) and the reduction in export duty in the customs department system.

Centre, state support to help achieve $1 billion exports of alcoholic beverages:CIABC.

Support from the Centre and state governments will help the country to achieve USD 1 billion worth of alcoholic beverages exports in the coming years, the Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC) said on Wednesday. India permits fresh areca nut imports without MIP condition from Bhutan.
