CCEA likely to lift export ban on some milk products today

Amid surplus availability of milk powder in the country, the government is likely to decide Thursday on lifting ban on export of milk products, especially whole milk powder, dairy whitener and infant milk foods. In February 2011, the government had imposed ban on export of all kinds of milk products -- skimmed milk powder (SMP), whole milk powder (WMP), dairy whitener, infant milk foods, casein and casein products -- to boost domestic supply.

Pakistan cabinet ratifies four agreements signed with India

Pakistan's cabinet on Wednesday ratified four recent agreements with India, including a landmark visa pact aimed at easing restrictions on several categories of travellers, including senior citizens and businessmen. The three other agreements ratified by the cabinet during a meeting chaired on Wednesday afternoon by Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf are aimed at boosting trade between the two countries.

India-Taiwan Bilateral Trade To Reach US$10 Billion In 3-4 Years

Taiwan on Wednesday said it expects trade with India to reach US$10 billion in the next three to four years, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported. "We expect India and Taiwan bilateral trade to touch US$10 billion in the next three to four years, going by the healthy growth rate in the recent past," Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India representative, Wenchyi Ong, said here.
