Pakistan: Onion rates see surprise dip as Indian export begins

Following resumption of Indian onion export in the region, rates of onion in the wholesale and retail markets of Karachi have crashed causing colossal financial losses to growers and farmers in Sindh. Leading Sindh growers and farmers have claimed that current rates of onion stand at 5-year low, reflecting surprisingly low prices after onion export from Pakistan witnessed an abrupt halt.

Australia seeks greater economic, trade ties with UP

Australia today sought greater economic and trade ties with Uttar Pradesh, especially in education, food processing and financial services sectors.Australian minister and deputy high commissioner Lachlan Strahan interacted with members of Uttar Pradesh industry affiliated to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) chamber Indian Industries Association (IIA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and discussed areas of mutual business interest.

USA - Meat prices at all time high

U.S. retail meat prices during March posted the biggest increase in almost seven years, reflecting smaller cattle and hog herds and rising grain costs that are among the inflationary factors forcing Americans’ to pay more at the grocery checkout line.
