New USDA Rule Would Require Meat Additives On Nutrition Labels

Additives in meat can cause sodium content to be higher than consumers realize. Currently, meat with additives is not labeled. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) is proposing a new rule concerning labeling meat additives. Continue ban on endosulfan in Kerala and Karnataka, not in other states: SC told

A central expert committee has given a report to the Supreme Court endorsing ban on sale and use of endosulfan in Kerala and Karnataka but said farmers in other states could be allowed to use the pesticide for agriculture.
