Thailand today identified tourism and food processing industry as the two possible areas of cooperation with India. At an interactive session here, permanent trade representative, minister at Prime minister's office in Thailand, Nalinee Taveesin, highlighted growing India-Thailand business opportunities which are the result of Thailand's "Look West Policy' and India's 'Look East Policy".

Ahead of the ministerial level talks, chief negotiators of India and European Union (EU) are scheduled to meet next week in Brussels to fast-track the long pending negotiations that started in June 2007. The ministerial level talks are expected in the first week of April. "Before that meeting, the chief negotiators will meet in Brussels. Although still there are outstanding issues, both the sides will try to conclude the talks before India went into election mode," a senior official in the Commerce Ministry told PTI.

Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi arrives Monday on a three-day visit, after a short stopover in Islamabad, to boost bilateral ties with India, especially in trade. Morsi is arriving at the head of a high-level delegation of ministers and business leaders. The ministers in the entourage include the ministers of communications and Information Technology, trade and commerce, and investment.

India seeks to expand bilateral trade with Indonesia India would like to expand bilateral business and trade relations by investing more in Indonesia, Indian Ambassador Gurjit Singh said here at a business roundtable where opportunities in various sectors like infrastructure, mining, energy, oil and gas, and food processing were discussed. Singh met Soekarwo, governor of East Java province, and said that the focus was on investment, capacity building and transfer of technology.
