ICRISAT Introduces ‘Rapid-Ragi’ Speed Breeding Protocol to Accelerate Finger Millet Research. International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) has introduced the world’s first speed breeding protocol for finger millet, a breakthrough that could significantly enhance crop research and food security across Asia and Africa. Centre approves potato research centre in Agra with Rs 111.5 cr assistance. Philippines plans onion imports to meet year-end gap. The Philippines Department of Agriculture (DA) is evaluating onion importation to stabilize prices amid projections of insufficient supply lasting until December.
