Jaggery, popularly known as gur, is prepared by concentrating the sugarcane juice. India produces more than 60 per cent of jaggery in the world. India is recognised as one of the leading global traders and exporters of Jaggery. Jaggery has high nutritional values and medicinal aspect like its anti-carcinogenic and antitoxic activity.
