DGFT decides to put exports of non-basmati rice on hold

The government continues to flip-flop on the issue of exports of one million tonne of non-basmati rice recently approved by the Empowered Group of Ministers after a three-year ban on its exports. Junagadh Kesar mango gets GI tag as ‘Gir Kesar’

The famous saffron-coloured Kesar variety of mango, largely grown around the foothills of Girnar mountains in Gujarat’s Junagadh district, has got global recognition as ‘Gir Kesar’ mango after being granted the Geographical Indication (GI) tag. Lamy: Russia could join WTO this year

Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) is in sight and could be sealed by the end of this year, WTO Director General Pascal Lamy told Reuters in an interview ."There's clearly an acceleration in this Russian accession (bid) to the WTO recently. I now believe that Russian accession to the WTO is in sight. I even would say it can be done by the end of this year when we have a WTO.....
