India, the world's second biggest wheat producer, is likely take a conservative approach on allowing wheat exports given continued concerns on high food prices, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) report said.India has banned export of wheat since 2007.

Guarseed rises on export demand

Guar seed spot as well futures continued to add to the gains of the day and hit new historical high of Rs. 3,226 and ended 0.80% and 0.63% higher respectively on Wednesday on robust export demand amidst steady supplies. Arrivals were almost nil in Ganganagar, where stockiest are not offloading the stocks on expectations of further rise in the prices.

First part of FSSAI rules on food recall over, final part likely by July

The FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) has recently notified its latest Draft Regulations on Food Recall Procedure through its website. However, according to sources in the body, these regulations comprise the first part of the draft, and the final part is likely to be out by July.
