Indian Products Exhibition (IPE) to be held in Dubai

An Indian Products Exhibition (IPE) will be held at the India Trade & Exhibition Centre here from September 28 to October 1, it has been announced. The exhibition, which will have 40 Indian companies showcasing various food, herbal and ethnic products, will be inaugurated by Member of Parliament Manohar Gajanan Joshi, a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and ex-Lok Sabha Speaker. Malaysia - Beef imports up 11%

Malaysia's beef imports during 2010-11 increased 11 per cent on the previous year, to a six-year high of 117,797 tonnes swt, reports Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA).  There was a rise in volumes from India, Australia, NZ and China which more than offset falls in imports from Brazil and Argentina due to restricted market access. Beverage body sees strong growth in non-alcoholic drinks in next decade

The Indian Beverage Association (IBA) is now keen to increase the number of non-alcoholic beverage brands in the country. Going by the imminent shift from carbonated drinks to non-alcoholic beverages, the industry intends to play an increasingly significant role in the growth of this sector. Brazil raises apple imports by 48%

Brazilian apple imports added up to 50,800,000 tons, with Argentina as main provider (40,100,000 tons in the last eight months). With a strong currency (Real) and a loss in quality in the 2011 harvest due to past hail storms, more imported apples are reaching the Brazilian market. From January to August, according to data from the Brazilian Secretary of External Commerce, the amount of imported fruits rose by 47.7%, reaching 50,800,000 tons.
