Trade settled in local currencies between India and the UAE has reached double digits, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Monday, adding that bilateral trade is expected to return to pre-war levels in the next few months. Goyal said trade between the two countries was 'very close' to pre-war levels and should recover and move beyond those levels in the coming months.

India-Jordan trade: Sitharaman seeks deeper ties, $5 billion target by 2030.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday met Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Zeid Toukan on the sidelines of the AIIB 2026 Annual Meeting in Doha, with the two sides discussing ways to deepen bilateral cooperation, particularly in food security, fertilisers, trade and investment. Sitharaman noted that India is Jordan's fourth-largest trading partner and highlighted the target of taking bilateral trade to $5 billion by 2030.

Commerce minister Piyush Goyal to visit US for trade talks, G20 ministers’ meeting.
Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal will visit the US this week to attend the G20 Trade Ministers’ meeting in Milwaukee and hold deliberations with US Trade Representative (USTR) Jamieson Greer on the bilateral trade agreement, the government said Monday. The minister will visit the US from September 29-October 5 wherein he would participate in the G20 Trade Ministers’ Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 30 and October 1, 2026, at the invitation of the USTR.

After black matpe, Brazilian pigeonpea to hit Indian markets soon.
Brazilian pigeonpea (tur) is set to hit the Indian market over the next few months as the South American producer is expected to start exports of the pulses variety soon. 'India will continue to import pigeonpea in large quantities, and Brazil will start as a new origin this year. We are getting Brazilian pigeonpea, subject to phytosanitary clearance, which should happen soon,' said Bimal Kothari, Chairman, India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA), the apex trade body.

केन्द्रीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री श्री पीयूष गोयल 29 सितम्बर से 5 अक्टूबर 2026 तक अमेरिका की यात्रा पर रहेंगे। श्री गोयल अमेरिकी व्यापार प्रतिनिधि (यूएसटीआर) के निमंत्रण पर 30 सितम्बर और 1 अक्टूबर 2026 को मिलवॉकी, विस्कॉन्सिन में आयोजित होने वाली जी20 व्यापार मंत्रियों की बैठक में भाग लेंगे। इस बैठक में जी20 सदस्य देशों के व्यापार मंत्री शामिल होंगे। भारत सभी जी20 सदस्य देशों के साथ रचनात्मक रूप से संवाद करेगा और विश्व व्यापार संगठन (डब्ल्यूटीओ) को केन्द्र में रखते हुए नियम-आधारित, खुली, समावेशी, पारदर्शी, न्यायसंगत और गैर-भेदभावपूर्ण बहुपक्षीय व्यापार प्रणाली के लिए काम करेगा। साथ ही, विकासशील देशों के लिए पर्याप्त नीतिगत गुंजाइश सुनिश्चित करने पर भी जोर दिया जाएगा। बैठक के अलावा श्री गोयल अपने समकक्षों के साथ द्विपक्षीय बैठकें करेंगे। इन बैठकों में किसानों, मछुआरों, महिला उद्यमियों, स्टार्ट-अप, एमएसएमई और अन्य उद्यमों के लिए अवसरों का विस्तार करने पर ध्यान केन्द्रित किया जाएगा।

भारत-यूएई निवेश पर उच्च स्तरीय संयुक्त कार्यबल (एचएलजेटीएफआई) की 14वीं बैठक आज मुंबई में आयोजित हुई। बैठक की सह-अध्यक्षता भारत सरकार के वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री श्री पीयूष गोयल और अबू धाबी निवेश प्राधिकरण (एडीआईए) के प्रबंध निदेशक शेख हामिद बिन जायद अल नाहयान ने की। निवेश पर उच्च स्तरीय संयुक्त कार्यबल (एचएलजेटीएफआई) की स्थापना वर्ष 2013 में भारत और यूएई के बीच व्यापार, निवेश तथा आर्थिक संबंधों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए की गई थी। अपनी स्थापना के बाद से यह कार्यबल भारत और यूएई में निवेश के अवसरों तथा संभावनाओं पर चर्चा करने के साथ-साथ दोनों देशों के निवेशकों के समक्ष आने वाली चुनौतियों के समाधान के लिए एक प्रभावी मंच के रूप में कार्य कर रहा है।

Chile Eyes Stronger Tamil Nadu Ties as India Trade Crosses $5.4 Bn.
Chile is seeking to deepen economic ties with Tamil Nadu, particularly in automobiles, engineering, renewable energy, healthcare, technology, agriculture and logistics, Chilean Ambassador to India Juan Angulo said. Addressing Chile’s 216th Independence and National Day celebrations in Chennai, Angulo said bilateral trade had more than doubled in recent years, from about $2.2 billion to over $5.4 bn. Figures cited at the event put trade at $5.6 bn in 2025.
