(CONCOR) has commenced a new Express Export Train Service connecting ICD Dhandari Kalan (DDL), Ludhiana, with Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JN Port), Mumbai, via Dadri. The new scheduled service, which began operations on August 29, 2026, is aimed at providing exporters in Punjab and neighbouring northern industrial clusters with a faster, more predictable and efficient rail connection to one of India’s leading container gateways.

India and Uzbekistan are expanding cooperation in agriculture, with a focus on seed production, drip irrigation technologies and horticulture, Sibi George, Secretary (West) at India’s Ministry of External Affairs, said at a press briefing following the Indian prime minister’s state visit to Uzbekistan. According to George, the two sides are exploring opportunities for cooperation in seed production, the development of drip irrigation technologies and horticulture. Cooperation in these areas is being carried out between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Uzbekistan’s National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture.

The state govt has launched the UP State Horticulture Export Promotion Board website to help farmers access information related to the export of their produce. Through the portal, farmers can find details about potential overseas markets for surplus produce from their districts, quality standards required by destination countries, and procedures to be followed for exports.

Kenya's avocado export campaign remains active, with demand mainly coming from Gulf countries, India, and China. At the same time, troublesome logistics still cut exporters off from the European market, according to Allan Njoroge of Danka Investments. "A few weeks before the end of the season, we see that demand is there, and the export campaign is still very much active. But this season it is coming primarily from the Middle East, India, and China. European demand has been disappointing this season. This is the lowest volume we have shipped to Europe in recent memory," Njoroge says.
