PMFME Scheme driving grassroots entrepreneurship: 59,202 micro food processing enterprises formalized, over Rs. 17,015 crore investment mobilized and 5.18 lakh jobs generated across India. Under the Pradhan Mantri Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, 59,202 Micro food processing enterprises have been formalized as on 31st December 2025 since inception of the scheme. The State/ UT wise details of number of micro enterprises formalised are at Annexure I. Cumulatively, investment of Rs. 17015.8 crore has been mobilized under the scheme across the country including Pali Lok Sabha Constituency in Rajasthan, Siddharthnagar district in Uttar Pradesh, Shahdol Lok Sabha Constituency in Madhya Pradesh, Sabarkantha Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat, Jharkhand, Odisha including Nabrangpur Lok Sabha Constituency and UT of Jammu and Kashmir are at Annexure II. Mango growers in Karnataka explore US, UK as Gulf markets face uncertainty. Alphonso-quality mangoes grown in the rich belts of Dharwad, Belagavi and parts of Haveri have enjoyed a strong market in the Middle East for more than a decade. India’s annual food exports nearing Rs 5 lakh crore mark: Piyush Goyal. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday called upon stakeholders from the food, agriculture and hospitality sectors to work collectively towards making India the world’s largest exporter of agricultural and processed foods, highlighting the vast opportunities created by India’s expanding trade agreements and the growing global demand for the Indian products. Addressing the gathering at the inauguration of the 40th edition of ‘AAHAR – The International Food & Hospitality Fair’ in the national capital, Goyal said that India’s exports of food and agricultural products — including farm produce and fisheries — have reached nearly Rs 5 lakh crore (over $55 billion) annually, making the country the seventh largest exporter of agricultural produce in the world.
