APEDA to open regional office in Raipur 'boost for agri export growth' says govt. The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved setting up the regional office of APEDA in Raipur, the Chhattisgarh government said on Wednesday. States advance PM Ekta Mall projects to promote ODOP & GI products; UP, MP, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Bihar among top funded. As many as 27 states—all except West Bengal—have received central approval to set up PM Ekta Malls for showcasing and selling indigenous products under the 'One District, One Product' (ODOP) initiative. 9 firms sign deals to import soyabean oil from China into India. Nine Indian companies, including Patanjali Foods, Adani Wilmar and multinational companies such as Cargill, Bunge, ADM and Louis Dreyfuss, have signed deals with two Chinese exporters to import soyabean oil between September and December this year. While a record 1.5 lakh tonnes have been signed for imports, more shipments of the soft oil will likely take place if the offer prices continue to be competitive, trade sources said. Ministry of Ayush Promotes Indian Traditional Medicine Systems Globally with WHO Agreement, Academic Collaborations, and Export Promotion Initiatives. Ministry of Ayush has undertaken following initiatives to promote Indian traditional medicine systems globally: The Ministry has developed a Central Sector Scheme for the Promotion of International Co-operation in Ayush (IC Scheme) under which the Ministry of Ayush provides support to Indian Ayush drug Manufacturers/ Ayush Service providers to give boost to the export of Ayush products & services; facilitates the International promotion, development and recognition of Ayush system of medicine; foster interaction of stakeholders and market development of Ayush at international level; promote academics and research through the establishment of Ayush Academic Chairs in foreign countries and holding training workshop/symposiums for promoting and strengthening awareness and interest about Ayush Systems of Medicine at international level. Beneficiaries under PM-Kisan. The PM-KISAN scheme is a central sector scheme launched in February 2019 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister to supplement the financial needs of farmers with cultivable land-holding. Under the scheme, a financial benefit of Rs 6,000/- per year is transferred in three equal instalments, into the Aadhaar seeded bank accounts of farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Under the PM-KISAN Scheme, cultivable landholding is primary eligibility criteria to receive benefit of the Scheme subject to some certain exclusions relating to higher income status. Agricultural Market Linked to E-NAM. 1,522 mandis have been integrated with the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) portal with trade volume of 12.03 crore metric tonnes (MT) of various agricultural commodities and 49.15 crore units of countable commodities such as coconut, betel leaf, sweet corn, lemon, and bamboo traded on the platform till 30.06.2025. Atmanirbhar Oilseeds Abhiyan. The Government is implementing the National Mission on Edible Oils – Oilseeds (NMEO-OS) to boost domestic oilseed production and to strive toward self-sufficiency in edible oil production. The objective of NMEO-OS is to enhance the production of primary oilseed crops such as Rapeseed & Mustard, Groundnut, Soybean, Sunflower, Sesame, Safflower, Niger, Linseed & Castor and also increasing collection and extraction efficiency of edible oil from secondary sources like cottonseed, coconut, rice bran as well as Tree-Borne Oilseeds (TBOs).
