The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry organized a Mango Promotion Programme in Abu Dhabi as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the global presence of Indian agricultural products, particularly mangoes. The event marked the launch of ‘Indian Mango Mania 2025’—a vibrant in-store mango festival held in collaboration with the Embassy of India in the UAE and the Lulu Group. Timed with the peak of the mango season, the promotion aims to showcase India’s finest mango varieties to international consumers, especially the large Indian diaspora across the UAE and the Gulf region.

'United States and Middle East primary markets for Indian pomegranates'.
The early monsoons have put the pomegranate season in India ahead of schedule by a month, says Kaushal Khakhar, CEO of Indian fresh produce exporter Kay Bee Exports: 'The pomegranate exports in India traditionally see a seasonal pause from April to June, due to extreme heat conditions. With the arrival of early monsoon rains this year, shipments are now resuming ahead of schedule by about a month, as the new harvest cycle begins. As the monsoon sets in, the arils develop a deeper, more vibrant red color, just in time for peak flavor and market readiness.'

India-US trade deal likely within 48 hours, dairy and GM crops off the table: Report.
India and the United States are close to finalising an interim trade deal, with both sides working to wrap it up within the next 48 hours, according to a report by NDTV. Negotiations are currently underway in Washington. Tamil Nadu plans seafood exports of $5 bn, sets roadmap for blue economy.
Tamil Nadu has set a 'massive target' of $5 billion in seafood exports annually and has a roadmap for it, said State Industry Minister T R B Rajaa on Thursday. Tamil Nadu has the second-longest coastline after Gujarat, but ranks seventh among seafood-exporting states after Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and West Bengal.

Saddled with export restrictions and a falling demand for wheat bran due to increased popularity and supply of alternative distillers’ dried grains with soluble (DDGS) -- a protein-rich byproduct of ethanol production -- wheat processing industry has appealed for immediate easing of export restrictions on wheat products. The growing demand and supplies of DDGS is not just hitting the domestic soybean meal industry but also the wheat product makers, particularly bran producers whose prices have dropped sharply due to falling demand.
