Sharma likely to announce sops for exporters next week

In what could be a Diwali gift for exporters, the government is expected to announce sops, including interest subsidy, to cushion them from the slowdown in western markets. India to forge agri partnerships with ASEAN nations

India is keen to forge partnerships with ASEAN countries for the exchange of technology to enhance farm productivity and address the impact of climate change on agriculture. Indian tomatoes find their way to Pak markets

Pakistani is currently importing millions of dollars worth of Indian tomatoes each month as the local crop in Sindh and Balochistan was devastated by the current monsoon season, triggering shortage of one of the most demanded vegetables of every kitchen. Australia - Mutton sheep in short supply

At the completion of Thursday's market, the national mutton indicator was up 12¢ on last week to 403¢/kg cwt.  However, compared with the same period last year, the indicator remains 9¢/kg cwt lower.
