Rs 30,000 cr estimated for promotion of high tech horticulture

Highlighting the virtues of protected cultivation to boost horticulture productivity, a Rs 30,000 crore outlay has been proposed for bringing at least 10 per cent of the horticulture crop area in the country under this high tech cultivation practice in the 12th Plan. Mixed trend in rice market

The rice market witnessed a mixed trend on Monday; prices of PR and pure basmati varieties witnessed a decline while all other non basmati and aromatic varieties managed to maintain their previous levels.
