Goods exports to China rise 20% to $5.8 billion during April-July.
India's goods exports to China in the first four months of FY26 rose 20% year on year at $5.76 billion, or about Rs. 50,112 crore, with each month recording higher shipment than a year earlier, official data showed. India posted the highest exports at $1.63 billion in May, up from $1.32 billion in the corresponding month in 2024.

APEDA opening new offices at Patna, Raipur, Dehradun to support agricultural exporters.
The commerce ministry's arm, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), has decided to open its three new regional offices in Patna, Dehradun and Raipur to support agricultural exporters, an official said. At present, the Delhi-headquartered authority has 16 regional offices in cities, including Bengaluru, Srinagar, Jammu, Ladakh, Guwahati, Mumbai, Varanasi, Kochi and Bhopal.

Goyal asks plantation sectors to take FTA benefits to boost exports.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has asked plantation sectors like tea, coffee and rubber to take optimum benefits of free trade agreements (FTAs) signed by India in order to boost exports, an official statement said on Friday. He has also emphasised the need to expand export opportunities through market diversification, promotion of value-added products, and maintenance of quality standards.

ET World Leaders Forum: Madhya Pradesh alone accounts for Rs 66,000 crore in exports, says Mohan Yadav.
States must strive for self-reliance, remain sensitive to the Centre's concerns, and seek its blessings to ensure progress, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav said. Speaking at the ET World Leaders Forum, he said that states should not worry about capital expenditure in the larger interest of development. 'MP is not taking loans from anyone,' he said, adding that only three states-Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh-are spending money for growth without borrowing.

'Jammu and Kashmir field reports point to a moderate-to-good apple crop'.
According to Shah, there's been a shift in cultivation towards Gala varieties, among other options. 'Looking at dominant varieties, the Delicious group, consisting of Red, Royal, and improved strains, remains a large base in Kashmir. There is a rapid shift to early coloring, high-return cultivars, such as Gala strains, Red Velox, Jeromine, Super Chief, and Scarlet Spur on M9 rootstock. This shift has to do with an earlier harvest, better color uniformity, and higher pack-outs.'

Favorable weather conditions lead to higher yields for guava in India.
With the higher production, Jaiswal states that it's positive that the international demand for the guava from India has also increased in recent years. 'Good rainfall and generally favorable climatic conditions have directly led to an increase in yield per hectare, supporting higher volumes for both domestic and international markets. Over the past few years, we've witnessed a consistent upward trend in international demand, which is both encouraging and motivating for us as exporters. Especially the increasingly popular Thai variety continues to grow in export markets.'
