3 30 JAN 2025 Panama Republic Streamlined Dairy Plants Registration in Panama On January 14, 2025, the Panamanian Food Agency (APA) and the Ministry of Health of Panama confirmed that the dairy plants registration process has been significantly expedited, resolving a trade barrier created on July 17, 2023. The new streamlined approach has reduced the estimated time to complete the process to a maximum of 2 days. Click here

As a result of the U.S.-Panama SPS/TBT agreement, which is an integral part of the TPA according to article 22.1, Panama issued special regulations that apply to imports of food and feed products from the United States, which recognize the high standards and certificates of the U.S. regulatory and sanitary inspection system.
