Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Tuesday said the state government is working to establish Mizoram ginger as a premium agricultural product in both national and international markets by capitalising on its superior quality and Geographical Indication (GI) tag status. India's coffee exports grew by a fifth in the first two months of fiscal 2027 to top $503 million during April-May, on higher demand from key buyers in Europe such as Italy and Germany. As per the latest data from state-run Coffee Board, shipment volumes were up 36 per cent at 92,903 tonnes during April-May this fiscal over 67,910 tonnes a year ago.

Speaking at the weekly media briefing, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, 'On the visit of the Foreign Secretary of the UK, we will keep you informed of the schedule. Our relationship with the United Kingdom involves a large gamut of issues, including economic, security, and defence cooperation. When the Foreign Secretary is here, we will discuss all these issues, including the Free Trade Agreement and how we can scale up our trade and investment ties. The Trade Secretary is also currently in India, and the Ministry of Commerce will likely provide a readout of those meetings'.
