India's oilmeal exports tumble 42% on year in Jan-26.
The Solvent Extractors Association of India has announced that Indias export of oilmeals for the month of January 2026 is provisionally reported at 260,123 tons compared to 452,352 tons in Jan., 2025 i.e. down by 42%. The overall export of oilmeals during Apr.25 to Jan.26 reported at 3,235,862 tons compared to 3,603,030 tons during the same period of last year i.e. down by 10%. Soybean meal exports slumped 22.10% this fiscal while Rapeseed meal exports tumbled around 2.82%.

Madhya Pradesh Budget 2026: Agriculture, infrastructure to get major push.
GYANII – Garib Kalyan (poor welfare), Yuva Shakti (youth power), Annadata (farmers), Naari Shakti (women's power), Infrastructure and Industry – guided Madhya Pradesh’s annual budget for 2026-27, which was reportedly the first rolling budget by any state in the country. The central Indian state’s deputy chief minister and finance minister Jagdish Devda presented on Wednesday, the largest ever Rs 4.38 lakh crore-plus budget in the Vidhan Sabha, amid interruptions by the opposition Congress MLAs, raising concerns about the burden of 'mounting debt' of people of the state.

EU leaders back early trade pact, AI cooperation in meetings with Modi.
After hosting French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai, PM Modi held bilateral meetings on Wednesday with leaders of Spain, Finland, Estonia, Croatia and Serbia, looking to further deepen cooperation in technology, innovation, security and defence with Europe, which is participating in strength in the ongoing AI Impact Summit. Farm and processed food exports rise a modest 3.3% in April-January
According to data provided by the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics, the shipment of buffalo meat, dairy and poultry products in the first ten months of FY26, increased sharply by 25% to $ 5.19 billion. The value of rice exports including basmati and non-basmati varieties, declined by 7.5% on year to $ 9.33 billion during the April-January period of FY26. In January, 2026, India, the biggest exporter of rice in the world, shipped grain valued at $ 1.03 billion, a decline of 25% on year.
