APEDA opening new offices at Patna, Raipur, Dehradun to support agricultural exporters. The commerce ministry's arm, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), has decided to open its three new regional offices in Patna, Dehradun and Raipur to support agricultural exporters, an official said. At present, the Delhi-headquartered authority has 16 regional offices in cities, including Bengaluru, Srinagar, Jammu, Ladakh, Guwahati, Mumbai, Varanasi, Kochi and Bhopal. India, Russia agree to boost trade ties after foreign ministers meet in Moscow. India and Russia agreed to boost trade ties on Thursday as their foreign ministers met in Moscow, giving little indication that U.S. President Donald Trump's hefty tariffs on India for buying Russian oil would disrupt their relations. A high-level meeting on areca nut development was held at Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The meeting was attended by Union Minister of Heavy Industries H D Kumaraswamy, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament from areca nut–producing regions, and senior officials from various departments and ministries. Jaishankar flags 3 main issues in ties with US; says India has certain red lines for trade pact. India has certain 'red lines' in its negotiations for a trade deal with the US and it will stand firm in protecting the interests of farmers and small producers, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Saturday, days before additional American tariffs on Indian goods are set to come into effect. TN is uniquely positioned to gain from the India-Peru FTA. India and Peru are negotiating a free trade agreement (FTA), and talks are expected to conclude by the end of this year or early 2026. Peru has significant reserves of rare earth minerals, which could aid TN's growing electronics and battery sectors.
