Goyal asks plantation sectors to take FTA benefits to boost exports. Goods exports to China rise 20% to $5.8 billion during April-July. India's goods exports to China in the first four months of FY26 rose 20% year on year at $5.76 billion, or about Rs. 50,112 crore, with each month recording higher shipment than a year earlier, official data showed. Ghana to import one million metric tons of rice amid rising domestic production. This comes despite an 18 percent increase in domestic milled rice production, which is expected to reach 900,000 metric tons this season, driven by improved weather conditions and increased farmer participation. PLISFPI Boosts Food Processing with Rs.1,726 Cr Incentives, 35 Lakh MT Capacity, and 3.39 Lakh Jobs. The incentives under the PLISFPI are admissible where the entire chain of manufacturing processes, including primary processing of the food products applied for coverage under the scheme takes place in India. Total export of agricultural processed food products of the applicants approved under PLISFPI has increased with a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 13.23% as on 2024-25 with reference to 2019-20.
