The cumulative exports (merchandise & services) during April-October 2025 is estimated at US$ 491.80 Billion, as compared to US$ 469.11 Billion in April-October 2024, estimated growth of 4.84%.
India’s total exports (Merchandise and Services combined) for October 2025* is estimated at US$ 72.89 Billion, registering a negative growth of (-) 0.68 percent vis-à-vis October 2024. Total imports (Merchandise and Services combined) for October 2025* is estimated at US$ 94.70 Billion, registering a positive growth of 14.87 percent vis-à-vis October 2024.

Despite global price weakness and US tariffs, India’s agricultural exports show strong momentum in first half of current financial year.
India’s agricultural exports have been growing faster than the country’s overall merchandise exports, showing a strong performance even when many other sectors are slowing down. Government data for April to September 2025 shows that farm exports touched $25.9 billion, which is an increase of 8.8% from the same period last year, with $23.8 billion for the corresponding six months.

Wheat sowing till Nov 11 of current rabi season up 17 pc to 66.23 lakh hectare.
Area under coverage for wheat till November 11 of the ongoing rabi (winter-sown) season rose 17 per cent to 66.23 lakh hectares on better monsoon and an increase in minimum support price, according to the government data. The wheat acreage stood at 56.55 lakh hectares in the year-ago period.

India-US trade pact: First stage 'nearing closure'.
The first tranche of the proposed India-US bilateral trade agreement (BTA), which would aim to address the unprecedented 50% tariff slapped on Indian goods, is 'nearing closure', said a government official. 'We are engaged with the US on the BTA,' the official said, explaining that the trade pact contains multiple packages.

India-Canada Joint Statement: 2025 Ministerial Dialogue on Trade and Investment.
At the invitation of India’s Minister for Commerce and Industry Shri Piyush Goyal, the Honourable Maninder Sidhu, Canada’s Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, undertook an official visit to India from 11 to 14 November 2025. India, Eurasia to meet every quarter to fast-track FTA, ease market barriers.
India and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have agreed to meet every quarter at the regulator level to resolve market access hurdles, such as those related to certification and approval delays faced by agricultural and marine exporters, the commerce ministry said on Sunday. The decision was taken at a review meeting in Moscow, chaired by commerce secretary Rajesh Agrawal.

Cabinet Approves New Export Credit Guarantee Scheme, Launches Rs.25,000 Crore Export Promotion Mission.
The Union Cabinet has approved a new Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters, offering 100 per cent credit guarantee to exporters, including MSMEs. This scheme will provide up to Rs. 20,000 crore in additional credit, strengthening liquidity and enhancing India’s global competitiveness. Briefing media about Cabinet’s decisions in New Delhi yesterday, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, the scheme aims to support India’s one trillion dollar export target and promote the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
