Russia’s Wheat Gluten Exports To India Up Nine-Fold During 2025 Year-to-Date. Russia increased its exports of wheat gluten to India 9-fold year-on-year to over 1,500 tonnes in January-September 2025, while the value of the exports grew almost 7-fold to reach US$1.7 million, Russia’s Agroexport federal center reported. High-powered panel grants in-principle approval to various projects under NABARD's RIDF. A high-powered committee headed by the Kerala chief secretary has granted in-principle approval to infrastructure development projects worth Rs 1,441 crore in the state under tranche 31 of NABARD's Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF), the Chief Minister's Office said on Saturday. Setback to India’s efforts to get exclusive market rights for basmati rice in NZ, Kenya. India’s attempts to obtain exclusive rights to market its basmati rice have received a jolt in New Zealand and Kenya. Basically, both cases are interpreted as setbacks for New Delhi in obtaining a Geographical Indication (GI) tag for the long-grained aromatic rice. The New Zealand High Court dismissed an appeal by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (Apeda) against the dismissal of its application for a certification trade mark or certification mark for India’s basmati rice. TN procured over 6,000 MT of ragi in last 3 years. The Tamil Nadu government has procured 6,453 metric tonnes of ragi from farmers and has disbursed Rs.26.48 crore to the farming community since 2022-23, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies R Sakkarapani said on Sunday. The State government under its 'decentralised procurement scheme' decided to procure ragi from the farmers in 2022-23 and in the first phase Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts were covered, he said in an official release. India, New Zealand make steady progress in FTA. India and New Zealand had detailed engagements across key tracks, including trade in goods, trade in services, economic and trade cooperation, and rules of origin in the fourth round of talks for their proposed free trade agreement (FTA), the government said on Saturday. Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal met New Zealand trade minister Todd McClay, wherein they acknowledged the 'steady progress' made during this round. Poultry exports double in H1FY26 on strong demand from the Middle East. India’s poultry exports have more than doubled to about $149 million during the first six months of the current financial year on robust demand for eggs from the Middle East.
