The Mumbai facility also witnesses the maximum volume of mangoes destined for the US. Attributing the rejection of 12 mango consignments in the US to an error in recording of data related to irradiation treatment on May 8 and 9, sources said that the error and its cause are being examined at a senior level by the facility management.
