Ghana-India trade hits $3 billion amid strong bilateral ties – Foreign Minister.
Trade between Ghana and India has reached an impressive $3 billion with Ghana maintaining a favourable balance, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, disclosed on Monday ahead of the historic state visit of Indian Prime Minister Mr Shri Narendra Modi. In addition to the strong trade performance, Mr Ablakwa highlighted India’s longstanding role as a trusted development partner, having extended to Ghana lines of credit exceeding US$450 million over the past two decades.

Tamil Nadu plans seafood exports of $5 bn, sets roadmap for blue economy.
Tamil Nadu has set a 'massive target' of $5 billion in seafood exports annually and has a roadmap for it, said State Industry Minister T R B Rajaa on Thursday. Tamil Nadu has the second-longest coastline after Gujarat, but ranks seventh among seafood-exporting states after Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and West Bengal.

Millers seek easing of export curbs as DDGS glut hits wheat bran demand.
Saddled with export restrictions and a falling demand for wheat bran due to increased popularity and supply of alternative distillers’ dried grains with soluble (DDGS) -- a protein-rich byproduct of ethanol production -- wheat processing industry has appealed for immediate easing of export restrictions on wheat products. The growing demand and supplies of DDGS is not just hitting the domestic soybean meal industry but also the wheat product makers, particularly bran producers whose prices have dropped sharply due to falling demand.

Urged Centre to set up APEDA office in Goa for agri export push: CM.
A meeting to discuss strengthening Goa s export sector, particularly agricultural exports, was held in New Delhi with Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, informed CM Pramod Sawant. CM said that during the meeting, he requested the establishment and operationalisation of an APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) office in Goa. He asserted that this would provide crucial support to local farmers and agri-entrepreneurs and give a fillip to the state s agricultural exports.

India Exports First Consignment Of Rose-Scented Litchi From Pathankot To Qatar.
In a boost to India's horticultural exports, the first consignment of rose-scented litchi from Pathankot, Punjab, was flagged off to Doha, Qatar, on Friday. The one-metric-tonne consignment marks a major milestone for India's agri-export sector and was facilitated by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in collaboration with the Punjab Horticulture Department.

India's rice procurement exceeds 53 million tonnes, up by 1% year-on-year.
India's rice procurement for buffer stocks in the nine months until June 2025 was 531.13 lakh tonnes (lt), including over 68 lt of rice from the rabi crop. The current procurement is marginally higher than the 525.48 lt procured a year ago.

India-US trade talks will have successful conclusion: Jaishankar.
External affairs minister S Jaishankar is hopeful that ongoing trade negotiations between India and the US would reach a 'successful conclusion', asserting the need for the two countries to find a 'meeting ground' despite arguments and differences. 'I believe it's possible, and I think we'll have to watch this space for the next few days,' he said.

India-Canada trade deal gets a second wind as diplomatic ties improve.
After an acrimonious fallout late last year, India and Canada are tentatively trying to reset diplomatic relations, following the establishment of a new government in the north American nation, with the resumption of talks for an interim trade agreement. The new push comes after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Canadian counterpart Mike Carney met on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Alberta, where they also agreed to restart senior ministerial as well as working-level engagements across various domains to rebuild trust and bring momentum to the relationship.
