Bangladesh resumes apple imports from India after eight years.
After nearly eight years, apple imports from India have resumed through Bangladesh's Hili Land Port in Dinajpur. The first shipment entered the country on October 9, marking the reopening of a trade route that had been inactive for almost a decade.

Sugar output in India to increase 18.6% to 30.95 MT in 2025-26: ISMA.
India's sugar production is expected to rise 18.58 per cent to 30.95 million tonnes in the 2025-26 marketing year that began in October, up from 26.1 million tonnes in the previous year, industry body ISMA said on Tuesday. The Indian Sugar & Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) said opening stocks stood at 5 million tonnes, while ethanol diversion is estimated at around 3.4 million tonnes for the current year.

Cherry arrivals surge as prices drop, while U.S. plum sales remain steady.

India needs unified agri-tech ecosystem to reach 86% of farmers left behind, says report.
India must shift from fragmented agricultural innovation to systemic integration through state-level testing platforms and unified data frameworks to reach the vast majority of farmers still untouched by technology, according to an ASSOCHAM report released Tuesday. The industry body said 86 per cent of farmers remain beyond the reach of most agri-tech innovations, calling for a fundamental redesign of how technologies are validated, commercialised and delivered to smallholders.

Wheat acreage more than doubles on early harvest of Kharif crops.
Sowing areas under all Rabi season crops have gained an early lead due to the normal harvesting of Kharif crops, which cleared fields promptly for planting the winter crops. The total area under all crops has risen 27 per cent to over 130 lakh hectares (lh) from 102 lh year-ago, with wheat acreage more than doubling. The majority of the paddy crop has been harvested in Punjab (93 per cent) and Haryana (78 per cent). In Uttar Pradesh, 52 per cent of the paddy area has been cleared for wheat sowing as of November 9.

Maize procurement: Telangana ups per-acre yield limit to 25 quintals.
With some regions in the State reporting bumper maize yields, the Telangana Government has decided to enhance the per-acre eligibility limit to 25 quintals from 18 quintals as maize procurement picks up. The State’s total maize area reached 2.60 lakh hectares, an increase of two lakh hectares compared to the same period last year. The government is planning to procure 8 lakh tonnes of maize through 125 procurement centres.

South Asia’s biggest poultry expo set to open in Hyderabad from November 26.
South Asia’s largest poultry exhibition, the 17th edition of Poultry India Expo 2025, is set to take place from November 26 to 28 at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hitech City, Hyderabad. A curtain raiser was held in the city on Wednesday, where organisers announced that Telangana chief minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the event as chief guest.
