Jan 01, 2026 News Image India's sugar output up 23.43 pc in October-December: NFCSF.
India's sugar production rose 23.43 per cent to 11.83 million tonnes in the first three months of the ongoing 2025-26 season on sharp rise in Maharashtra output, cooperative body NFCSF said on Wednesday. Sugar production stood at 9.56 million tonnes in the year-ago period, while the total output remained 26.18 million tonnes in the entire 2024-25 season (October-September).

The Dehradun-based Uttarakhand Regional Office of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) organized the 2nd Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) Meeting cum GI Workshop on 30 December 2025 at its office in IT Park, Dehradun in Uttarakhand. According to a press release, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has been consistently working towards rural development and farmer empowerment. The release said that the theme of the meeting was 'Leveraging GI Potential for Rural Prosperity: Post-GI Strategies for Branding, Marketing and Value Addition.'
