A large delegation of Indian exporters will start a four-day visit to Moscow on Tuesday, a senior trade body official said, part of New Delhi's push to diversify export markets amid the impact of US President Donald Trump's sharp tariff increases. The visit comes ahead of an expected trip to India next month by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The delegation will comprise more than 20 exporters from the engineering sector — a sector which accounts for nearly a fifth of all Indian merchandise exports — and the visit is part of a broader strategy to tap new markets, industry officials said.

External affairs minister S Jaishankar is visiting Canada for the G7 foreign ministers' meeting on Tuesday-Wednesday, eyeing a revival of talks on a bilateral trade pact with the hosts besides collaboration in the fields of technology, energy and critical minerals.He will be the first Indian minister to visit Canada since the reciprocal restoration of high commissioners by the two countries in August.In addition to India, Australia, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, South Korea, South Africa and Ukraine have also been invited to the G7 foreign minister's meeting. Jaishankar could meet several of his counterparts from the G7 countries as well as the invitee nations during his visit.

The market first welcomes Kashmiri apples, priced between USD 0.5 and 0.8 per kg. The apples from Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir dominate the market starting from July-August through December, forming the early season supply. Imported Northern Hemisphere apples are predominantly from Iran, Turkey, Poland, Italy, and Afghanistan are also available during this period, particularly being sold in southern India.

India has concluded key rounds of trade talks with Peru and Chile, as part of its effort to diversify export markets amid the escalation in US tariffs on Indian goods. The ninth round of India-Peru Trade Agreement negotiations, held in Lima, Peru, from 3 to 5 November, witnessed substantive progress across key chapters of the proposed agreement, including trade in goods and services, rules of origin, technical barriers to trade, customs procedures, dispute settlement, and critical minerals, said a ministry of commerce and industry statement on Thursday morning.
