Since its inception in 2017, Indusfood has become a significant platform showcasing India’s dynamic food economy while connecting global businesses with the nation’s expanding food and beverage sector. The 8th edition of Indusfood, Asia’s premier Food and Beverage (F&B) Trade Show, was inaugurated by Shri Chirag Paswan, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, on 8th January 2025 at the India Exposition Mart Ltd in Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar. The event is scheduled to continue until 10th January.,

Shri Chirag Paswan, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries will inaugurate 8th Edition of the Indusfood 2025 at India Exposition Mart Ltd, Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida on 8th January 2025.  Indusfood is Asia’s premier annual F&B trade exhibition organized by Trade Promotion Council of India with the support of the Department of Commerce, Government of India is set to mark yet another milestone in 2025 – marking its debut as an integrated farm-to-fork trade show.

Jan 08, 2025 News Image Govt notifies procedure for export of certified organic products.
The government has laid out a procedure for export of certified organic products, requiring mandatory certification under the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) for such shipments, according to a public notice. The Directorate General Of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in a public notice said that a product will be allowed to be exported as 'organic product' only when accompanied by a Transaction Certificate (TC) issued by a certification body accredited by the National Accreditation Body for such items under the NPOP of the Department of Commerce.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Indian leadership have discussed economic and trade issues, including cooperation in developing Chabahar Port.
Takht-Ravanchi who was in New Delhi on a two-day official visit on January 2-3, within the framework of the 19th India-Iran Foreign Office Consultations (FOC), met his Indian counterpart Vikram Misri, according to the Iranian foreign ministry’s website.

Bangladesh’s interim government has begun importing rice from India as part of a significant move to secure the nation’s food supply. The first consignment of 27,000 tonnes of rice arrived at Chittagong port this week, marking the beginning of a larger import deal.
