US suspends additional 26% tariff on India till July 9: White House.
The US has announced the suspension of additional tariffs on India for 90 days until July 9 this year, according to the White House executive orders. On April 2, US President Donald Trump slapped universal duties on about 60 countries exporting goods to America and additional steep levies on countries like India, potentially impacting sales of products from shrimp to steel in the world's biggest economy. The move was aimed at cutting its trade deficit and boosting domestic manufacturing.

Dubai offers Indian companies a low-tariff launchpad into emerging markets.
Dubai is positioning itself as a springboard for Indian companies looking to tap into fast-growing emerging markets, including Africa, banking on low tariffs, long-standing trade relations, and a shared vision for regional economic growth, said Mohammad Ali Rashid Lootah, president and chief executive officer, Dubai Chambers, at the Dubai-India Business Forum in Mumbai.

Meeting between Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Israel's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Mr. Avi Dicter.
To enhance cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security, a high-level meeting was held today at the International Guest House, National Agricultural Science Complex, New Delhi, between the Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Mr. Avi Dicter. The meeting marks the first official visit of Mr. Avi Dicter to India in his capacity as Agriculture and Food Security Minister of Israel.

Konkan Hapus growers jump on GI tag, technology to protect their produce.
Mango growers from the Konkan region of Maharashtra have jumped big on the GI bandwagon with the region having cornered 1,845 GI tags for growers, processors and traders of the Hapus mango. Mukund Joshi, secretary of the Hapus Amba Utpadak Vikreta Sahakari Sangh said this would be the highest number of GI tags issued for individual products in the country.

India, EU exploring possibility to negotiate FTA in phases: Official.
India and the European Union (EU) are exploring the option of negotiating their free trade agreement (FTA) in phases amidst an uncertain global trade environment following imposition of sweeping tariffs by the US, an official said. India has followed the practice of negotiating such trade pacts in two phases with Australia. Negotiating the FTA in two phases allows both sides to first conclude areas where agreement can be reached more easily. Complex issues can be dealt with at a later stage.

India-UAE non-oil trade nears $100 billion under CEPA; Goyal calls ties a global model of prosperity.
With bilateral trade between India and the UAE accelerating under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said that the two nations were on course to meet their ambitious target of $100 billion in non-oil trade, calling the relationship a 'model of prosperity, trust and shared vision' for the world. Speaking at the Dubai-India Business Forum in Mumbai, Goyal described the surge in trade and investment as a sign of strategic maturity in ties and urged businesses from both countries to scale up collaboration across sectors.

US tariffs on India: Piyush Goyal to meet exporters on April 9.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will hold a meeting with exporters on Wednesday to discuss issues pertaining to India's trade amid imposition of an additional 26 per cent reciprocal tariffs by US President Donald Trump-led administration, an industry official said. Senior officials of the commerce ministry and representatives of export promotion councils (EPCs) and the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) will attend the deliberations.

Shafaq News/ Kurdish Trade and Industry Minister Kamal Muslim met, on Tuesday, with Indian Consul General Madan Gopal to advance economic cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and India. According to the ministry’s statement, the meeting, attended by senior ministry officials and a delegation representing 14 major Indian companies, focused on investment prospects and industrial development.

Prez Murmu's Visit: India, Portugal Agree to Deepen Trade & Investment Ties.
India and Portugal have agreed to deepen bilateral ties, particularly in trade and investment, renewable energy and connectivity, as President Droupadi Murmu and her Portuguese counterpart Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa held talks here on Monday. During the talks held at the Portuguese President's official residence, Palácio de Belém, the two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in the United Nations and other multilateral forums.
