Taliban Minister Visits Food Expo in India to Boost Afghan Trade Ties
According to official sources, Azizi reviewed the activities and achievements of Afghan firms and was briefed on their challenges. Afghan traders, while voicing satisfaction with trade relations with India, raised concerns over issues in banking, customs, and regulatory sectors. Azizi promised to raise these concerns with Indian officials and said he would follow up to address the problems facing Afghan traders. He also held a separate meeting with officials from the India Trade Promotion Organisation, which organized the exhibition. During the meeting, both sides discussed holding joint exhibitions in New Delhi and Kabul, streamlining the visa process for Afghan traders, creating special zones for Afghan companies at trade fairs, and exploring ways to deepen commercial cooperation.

Indian exports to continue strong show in H2 FY26: Commerce Ministry
India is poised for a strong export performance in the remainder of FY26 with the momentum of the first half of the fiscal and continued policy support for exporters, the commerce and industry ministry said Thursday.India's first half performance "stands out amid global headwinds" with the highest-ever quarterly exports in both the first and second quarter of FY26. "India recorded its highest-ever quarterly exports in both the first and second quarter of FY26, culminating in the highest-ever export performance for the first half of any financial year," the ministry said.

Gujarat and Maharashtra could gain from US tariff rollback, India’s agri exports have been turning to industrialised states.
The rollback of US tariffs on spices, fruits, coffee and tea is poised to benefit India’s western and southern industrialised states, with Gujarat and Maharashtra set to gain the most. A Moneycontrol analysis shows that Gujarat accounted for 24 percent of India’s spice exports in FY25—up sharply from 15 percent in FY18—placing it at the centre of the commodity lines now seeing relief in the American market.
