India on Tuesday submitted the ratification document of the free trade agreement with the four-European nation bloc EFTA to Norway. The pact, officially dubbed as Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), will be implemented from October 1, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said on Saturday.

India-UAE bilateral trade has risen to $100.06 billion in FY25 from $72.87 billion in FY22 since the signing of India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) on February 18, 2022 and came into force on May 1, 2022. India's merchandise exports to UAE have grown to $36.63 billion in 2024-25 from $28.04 billion in 2021-22, a growth of 7%.

India's rice stocks in government warehouses rose 15% from a year ago to a record high for the start of July, while wheat stocks reached a four-year peak driven by increased farmer procurement, official data showed on Tuesday. India's agricultural output has experienced consistent growth over the past 12 years, with fruits and vegetables showing a significant rise in value when adjusted for inflation. According to the newly released report from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), the Gross Value of Output (GVO) for fruits and vegetables increased from Rs.270,100 crore (US$32.3 billion) in 2011–12 to Rs.410,000 crore (US$49.1 billion) in 2023–24 at constant 2011–12 prices. This marks a net increase of Rs.139,900 crore (US$16.8 billion), representing a 52% growth over the period.

In the last five years, Gujarat exported 3,000 tonnes of mangoes, of which 29 per cent were exported in 2024-25 alone, according to data shared by the state government on Monday. About 3,000 tonnes of mangoes were exported to the US, South Africa and other countries between 2019-20 and 2024-25. During the last financial year, Gujarat exported 856 tonnes, which includes the Gir Kesar Mangoes which received the GI-tag in 2011.
