India is aiming to regain its market share in China's rapeseed meal imports, taking advantage of the commodity's lower price as compared to the international rate amid global supply constraints, industry body SEA said on Monday. Indian rapeseed meal is trading at $202 per tonne (Ex-Kandla FAS) as compared to international price of $308 per tonne (Ex-Hamburg). This creates a compelling opportunity for Indian exporters.

Interestingly, coffee production in India grew only marginally during the decade—from 344,500 tonnes in fiscal year 2015 (FY15) to a projected 352,000 tonnes in FY25—pointing to massive potential.

Government reviews US rejection of Indian mango shipments.
The government is reviewing and examining the mango shipments that the United States rejected earlier this month, sources said, adding that an error was noted in one of the approved irradiation facility in Mumbai. The Mumbai facility also witnesses the maximum volume of mangoes destined for the US. Mango Row: Maharashtra govt agency alleges US inspectors skipped standard procedures.
Following rejection of 15 consignments of Indian mangoes by the US due to procedural lapses, the Indian authorities have claimed that the American inspectors did not follow the protocol. 'Instead of discussing the matter with relevant agencies or notifying the facility beforehand, they (the inspectors) directly reported the alleged issues to their senior offices in the US, resulting in the rejection of the 15 consignments,' Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB), a government arm housing an irradiation facility in Mumbai, said in a statement on Tuesday.
